7th Round Tie Replay
Oban Saints AFC v Letham AFC
Glencruitten 2
Mossfield Avenue
Oban
Argyll PA34 4EH
Kick off 1.30pm
Referee Mr Thomas Gilchrist
Following last Saturday's exhilarating draw at Seven Acres, Perth, Oban Saints and Letham go toe to toe once again for the right to face Barca-Milton 97 in the quarter finals of the Scottish Amateur Cup. While Saints and Letham were sharing the spoils in Perth Barca-Milton 97 of the Lothian and Edinburgh Championship were putting five past Cambusnethan Talbot Community at Dalziel Playing Fields, Motherwell to progress to the last eight. Cambusnethan Talbot of the Central Scottish Amateur Football League Premier Division took an early lead which turned out to be short lived with Duddingston based Barca Milton reversing the scoreline before half-time and adding three more for good measure in the second half.
Saturday's replay at Glencruitten has a lot to live up to if it is to come close to matching the first encounter in Perth. The match may not have matched the goals tally of some of the other last sixteen ties however what it lacked in goals it more than made up for in excitement with the final outcome hanging in the balance until the very last second. Last Saturday's drawn encounter extended Letham's unbeaten run to twenty seven matches in all competitions and was only the second time they had failed to record a victory. Any thoughts of the odds now swinging in Saints favour should be tempered with the knowledge that Letham's only other draw came at home in the fifth round of the Scottish Amateur Cup against Tollcross Thistle and was followed up in the replay with a resounding 4 - 0 away win in Edinburgh. Details of Letham's and Saints respective paths to the seventh round stage can be read here:-

The seventh round tie replay at Glencruitten kicks off at 1.30pm and must be played to a finish on the day with extra time and penalty kicks to decide the winners if required.
