Oban Saints will look to make it three wins in a row when they welcome Clydebank to Glencruitten this Saturday. Following narrow victories over Craigneuk and fellow league new boys Lesmahagow, Saints will now pit their wits against more seasoned Central Scottish Amateur Football League campaigners Clydebank.
Like Saints the Bankies also have two wins from their first two league fixtures, both of which came on the grass surface of the John Brown playing fields in Clydebank.
In their opening fixture of the Division 1B campaign the Bankies battled to a 2 - 0 victory over Garrowhill Thistle who finished last season's Division 1B in fifth place.
Last Saturday it was the turn of Craigneuk to visit John Brown's where the home side recorded a convincing 3 - 0 victory keeping intact their 100 percent league record with the added bonus of a second consecutive clean sheet.
In between their two league victories the Bankies suffered a heavy reverse in the Bunrigh League Cup at the hands of newly promoted to the Premier Division Drumchapel Utd PYM. At Drumchapel's Glenhead pitch the Bankies fell two goals behind before being handed a penalty kick lifeline. Unfortunately the spot kick was missed and last season's Division 1A runners-up took full advantage of the let-off to run in three more goals for a resounding 5 - 0 win.
Clydebank AFC's Central Scottish Amateur Football League finishes:-

The Bankies will be a stiff test for a Saints side yet to hit full stride following their disastrous preseason where every single fixture has to be cancelled. Taking charge of proceedings for Saturday's 2pm kick-off at Glencruitten is experienced whistler Mr Tom Cavanagh.
